Leaf Collection Update

The Municipality of Leamington continues to collect leaf piles throughout urban areas, and crews have been out nearly every weekday, except when required to respond to snow and winter maintenance operations.

Please note that leaf collection trucks are also used as snow plows. During periods of snowfall or winter weather, these trucks are reassigned to ensure roads remain safe and passable.

Collection has also been slower than usual as many leaf piles are frozen, making them more difficult to remove. Crews are working to complete another pass through all urban areas; however, progress is highly dependent on weather conditions at this time of year.

The Municipality appreciates residents’ patience and understanding as crews balance fall cleanup with winter maintenance responsibilities.
