Municipality of Leamington launches new website with municiPal AI to make information easier to find

Leamington, ON – May 14, 2026 – The Municipality of Leamington is pleased to announce the launch of its new municipal website, featuring municiPal AI, an AI-powered search tool for municipal websites designed to help residents find information faster and connect with their community more easily.

The new website is part of the Municipality’s ongoing efforts to improve how digital services support residents, businesses, and visitors. With the addition of municiPal AI, users can ask questions and receive clear answers in plain language instantly, reducing the need to search through multiple menus and webpages.

Visitors can also translate website content and AI responses into 249 languages, helping improve access to municipal information for Leamington’s diverse and growing community.

By reducing the need to navigate through multiple webpages, the new platform helps residents find the information they need more efficiently.

“You shouldn’t have to search through multiple pages to find the information you need,” said Mayor Hilda MacDonald. “Our new website is designed to make it easier for residents to access services, find answers quickly, and stay connected with the Municipality in a more modern, convenient, and accessible way.”

municiPal AI works with the Municipality’s existing website content to deliver accurate, plain-language responses to questions about municipal programs, services, Council updates, and more. The tool is available 24/7 and improves online access to municipal information.

“This project is about improving how residents interact with the Municipality online,” said Peter Neufeld, Chief Administrative Officer. “By modernizing our website and introducing municiPal AI, we are making municipal information more accessible, easier to navigate, and available in a way that better meets the needs of our community today and into the future.”

The new website also features improved navigation, clearer content organization, enhanced accessibility, and a mobile-friendly design to better support users across devices. In addition, the Municipality has implemented new accessibility software, providing users with a variety of tools and features to improve the browsing experience for all visitors.
