Road Closure Update - Seacliff Drive East Reconstruction Project
The Municipality of Leamington is advising residents and motorists of upcoming road closure changes for the Northeast Trunk Sewer and Seacliff Drive East Reconstruction Project.
Beginning Wednesday, July 8, 2026, construction will move into its next phase on Seacliff Drive East and County Road 33. New road closures will take effect as work progresses. Please follow the posted detour routes and allow extra travel time.
Open to Local Traffic: Seacliff Drive East: Regatta Drive to Bevel Line
Ongoing through August 31, 2026 (weather permitting)
This section of Seacliff Drive East will remain open to local traffic while construction continues.
Motorists should expect:
- Temporary lane closures and delays.
- Traffic controlled by flag persons.
- Occasional short-term restrictions to driveway access as work progresses.
- Continued access to homes and businesses whenever possible.
Motorists should continue to follow the posted detour route.
Road Closure: Seacliff Drive East - East of Bevel Line to East of County Road 33 (including the intersection)
July 8 to October 30, 2026 (weather permitting)
This section of Seacliff Drive East will be closed to all traffic.
Road Closure: County Road 33 - Oak Street East to Seacliff Drive East
July 8 to October 30, 2026 (weather permitting)
This section of County Road 33 will be closed to all traffic. All motorists must follow the posted detour routes.
Residents of Sunningdale Drive, Summerville Avenue, and Heathview Trail will access their neighbourhood via Clarence Avenue and Bennie Avenue during this closure.
The Municipality appreciates the community's patience and cooperation as this important infrastructure project continues.
