Seacliff Drive West Roundabout Construction Project Final Stages
The Municipality of Leamington is advising residents and motorists that the intersection of Seacliff Drive West and Sherk Street will be closed in all directions on Monday, June 22, 2026, as the Seacliff Drive West Reconstruction Project enters its final stage.
To complete the remaining asphalt work, Seacliff Drive West will be closed to through traffic between Sherk Street and Erie Street South, and Sherk Street will be closed between Coronation Avenue and Seacliff Drive West. The closures are expected to last one day, with both roads reopening on Tuesday, June 23.
Local Access During the Closure
Access for residents and businesses located on Seacliff Drive West, east of Paglione Drive (excluding Paglione Drive), will be maintained via Sherk Street throughout the closure. Those travelling within the area should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra travel time.
Seacliff Drive West between Sherk Street and Fraser Road will remain closed to through traffic while final construction activities are completed. Line painting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, and this section of roadway is expected to reopen to traffic prior to June 26, weather permitting.
These temporary closures are necessary to safely complete the final phase of construction and allow the asphalt to properly cure before the roadway reopens.
Motorists are asked to follow all posted detour routes and avoid entering active construction areas.
The Municipality strives to provide accurate construction schedules; however, all timelines are estimates and may change due to weather conditions, site conditions, or the availability of materials.
The Municipality thanks residents, businesses, and visitors for their patience and cooperation throughout construction and looks forward to reopening this important transportation corridor.
