Sherk Street Final Paving Scheduled for July 1 and 2

With the school year complete and school buses off the road for the summer, the Municipality of Leamington will complete the final layer of asphalt on Sherk Street on Wednesday, July 1 and Thursday, July 2, 2026.

During paving operations, intermittent road closures will be in effect, with one lane of traffic maintained. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes where possible.

To accommodate traffic for the Music Onthe42 Canada Day Concert and fireworks show, work on Wednesday, July 1, will conclude by 5:00 PM, and the road will reopen for the evening.

Line painting is scheduled for the week of July 6, weather permitting.
