Municipality of Leamington Seeking Food and Beverage Vendors for Waterfront Market Plaza

Leamington, ON – May 26, 2026 – The Municipality of Leamington is inviting food and beverage vendors to apply to participate in the 2026 Waterfront Market Plaza (WMP) Seasonal Food and Beverage Vendor Program.

Currently under construction and anticipated to open in July 2026, the Waterfront Market Plaza is being developed as a vibrant waterfront destination designed to support community activity, tourism, and local food and beverage entrepreneurs.

The Waterfront Market Plaza features seven vendor spaces operating through a flexible seasonal schedule, providing vendors the opportunity to participate throughout the 2026 season based on availability and operational fit.

Eligible vendor formats include:

• Food trucks
• Food trailers
• Mobile carts
• Pre-approved converted shipping container units

Selected vendors will benefit from a municipally managed operating environment that includes access to utilities, waterfront programming, and a high-visibility location designed to attract residents and visitors alike.

“There is tremendous potential to continue enhancing Leamington’s waterfront while creating opportunities for food and beverage entrepreneurs to showcase their offerings in a unique and vibrant setting,” said Mayor Hilda MacDonald. “The Waterfront Market Plaza is intended to create an enjoyable experience for residents and visitors while supporting local economic activity and strengthening our waterfront destination.”

There are no rental costs associated with participation in the 2026 Waterfront Market Plaza Vendor Program. Applicants are responsible for any costs associated with required documentation and approvals.

The operating season will run from Opening Day July (date to be determined) through Monday, October 12, 2026.

Round 1 of applications must be submitted by Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:30 AM
