At the Leamington Council meeting of March 4, 2025, Council:

• Held a Court of Revision under the Drainage Act and confirmed the Schedule of Assessment in the engineer’s report for a new access culvert for the 8^th Concession Branch of the Big Creek Drain.

• Approved a proposal to convert a single residential dwelling located at 719 Mersea Road 4, into an off-site farm worker dwelling and to establish requirements for parking, bicycle parking and loading spaces.

At the Leamington Council meeting of February 25, 2025, Council:

• Received a plaque presented by the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent acknowledging the Municipality of Leamington’s assistance in providing water resources to Wheatley and Tilbury following the fire at the Wheatley Water Treatment Plant. 

• Approved a proposal to construct one new 5-storey, 49-unit residential building located at 4 White Street, 8 Askew Street, 10 Askew Street, 103 Erie Street South, 105 Erie Street.

• Approved a by-law to rezone a portion of 409 Talbot Street West to allow for a liquid soil reuse facility.

• Approved a By-law to rezone the consolidated lands at 731 County Road 14 from an Agricultural Residential Zone and an Agricultural Hobby Farm Zone to Agricultural General.

• Adopted an engineer’s report regarding a new access bridge over the Big Creek Drain 8^th Concession Branch, authorized the works to be tendered, and approved the scheduling of a Court of Revision.
