  • Leamington Residents to Join EWSWA Green Bin Program in 2026

    The Municipality of Leamington is informing residents that while the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority’s (EWSWA) new Green Bin Program is currently being rolled out in Phase 1 communities (Essex, Lakeshore, LaSalle, Tecumseh, and Windsor), Leamington will be included in Phase 2 of the regional project. Green Bin delivery and collection in Leamington are scheduled to begin in the fall of 2026.

    Dr. Mehdi Aloosh, Medical Officer of Health, Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, has issued a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for some customers serviced by the Union Water Supply System.

    Leamington Dedicates John Jacobs Way at Marina in Honour of Late Councillor

    The Municipality of Leamington has formally dedicated a new sign at the Leamington Marina in memory of the late Councillor John Jacobs, naming the marina roadway “John Jacobs Way” in his honour.

    Councillor Jacobs passed away in 2020 while serving his third term on Leamington Council.

    Municipality of Leamington Enhances Safety and Enforcement Measures at Waterfront

    As part of its ongoing commitment to public safety and the enjoyment of its public spaces, the Municipality of Leamington is implementing new measures to address concerns related to noise, loitering, and disruptive activity in the waterfront and marina areas.

    In May 2024, the Municipality established a Waterfront Committee, comprising residents, municipal officials, and members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

    The Municipality of Leamington, in partnership with The Bank Theatre, is excited to present Brass Transit, North America’s top Chicago tribute band, live at the SUNSET® Amphitheatre in Seacliff Park on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The concert is part of the ongoing Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series and is free to attend.

    Lineup Announced for Leamington’s Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series

    The Municipality of Leamington, in partnership with The Bank Theatre, is pleased to announce the full lineup for the highly anticipated Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series, returning to the SUNSET® Amphitheatre at Seacliff Park. This free outdoor concert series will bring a diverse mix of tribute bands, orchestral music, and local talent to the waterfront stage throughout July and August.

    The Municipality of Leamington is pleased to announce the return of live music at the Leamington Marina patio most Fridays starting May 30, 2025. Residents and visitors alike are invited to enjoy a great lineup of local entertainment every scheduled Friday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
