Fire Code Violations Lead to Fines for Local Greenhouse OperationThe Municipality of Leamington has obtained convictions resulting in fines totalling more than $2,500 to a local greenhouse operation following a fire safety inspection of an associated worker bunkhouse. The inspection revealed multiple violations of the Ontario Fire Code related to the maintenance of life safety systems.

Nemesis to Perform at Leamington’s Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series – August 9The Municipality of Leamington, in partnership with The Bank Theatre, is excited to announce the next performance in the Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series, featuring the high-energy sounds of Nemesis on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Leamington’s SUNSET® Amphitheatre in Seacliff Park.
Taking the stage at 8:30 PM, Nemesis is a dynamic horn-driven cover band made up of talented musicians from both Michigan and southwestern Ontario.

Leamington Residents to Join EWSWA Green Bin Program in 2026The Municipality of Leamington is informing residents that while the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority’s (EWSWA) new Green Bin Program is currently being rolled out in Phase 1 communities (Essex, Lakeshore, LaSalle, Tecumseh, and Windsor), Leamington will be included in Phase 2 of the regional project. Green Bin delivery and collection in Leamington are scheduled to begin in the fall of 2026.

Leamington Dedicates John Jacobs Way at Marina in Honour of Late CouncillorThe Municipality of Leamington has formally dedicated a new sign at the Leamington Marina in memory of the late Councillor John Jacobs, naming the marina roadway “John Jacobs Way” in his honour.
Councillor Jacobs passed away in 2020 while serving his third term on Leamington Council.

Municipality of Leamington Enhances Safety and Enforcement Measures at WaterfrontAs part of its ongoing commitment to public safety and the enjoyment of its public spaces, the Municipality of Leamington is implementing new measures to address concerns related to noise, loitering, and disruptive activity in the waterfront and marina areas.
In May 2024, the Municipality established a Waterfront Committee, comprising residents, municipal officials, and members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
