The Municipality of Leamington is inviting community members to nominate outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for the fourth annual Mayor’s Recognition Awards—a program that honours those who have made significant contributions to the community.

The Mayor’s Recognition Awards celebrate excellence in various aspects of community life, from athletics and innovation to volunteerism and youth leadership.

The Municipality of Leamington is pleased to announce the return of its LT-Go Grade 8 Program for a third consecutive year, continuing its commitment to introducing young residents to the benefits of public transportation.

As part of this initiative, all Grade 8 students in Leamington will receive a free LT-Go transit pass for unlimited rides during March Break, from Friday, March 7, 2025, through to and including Sunday, March 16, 2025.

The Municipality of Leamington will begin the phased demolition of the former Leamington District Secondary School (LDSS) building, located at 125 Talbot Street West, beginning with the gymnasium, which was recently damaged by fire. Prior to initiating this first phase of demolition, the Municipality retained a contractor to test the affected area for harmful substances.

Eligible Leamington residents are now able to take advantage of the Affordable Pass Program (APP) and purchase subsidized bus fares for LTGO On-Demand Transit. The APP subsidizes residents living in low-income households at a discounted rate of 50% before taxes.
