Types of PAP Plans

 10-month payment plan
  • Payments for the 10-month plan will be deducted from your bank account on the first Friday of each month. The 10-month plan runs from February to November.
  • The first five installments are calculated at 50% of last year's tax levy (not including local improvement charges or drain maintenance charges). You may receive a letter in December advising you of your monthly amount for February-June payments.
  • After final taxes have been calculated, your monthly payments from July-November will be adjusted to reflect the balance of taxes owing (including any local improvement charges or drain maintenance charges). Each year the final tax bill will provide you with the new 10-month plan amount for these final five payments.
  • Any outstanding tax account balances must be paid in full prior to enrolment in the plan.
  • If any municipal charges are added to your tax account for any reason, the payment plan will be suspended until those charges are paid in full including any applicable penalties. You must contact the Municipality to re-activate your payment plan.
  • Service charges and applicable penalties will apply to any payment not cleared by your bank.
 Due date plan
  • Withdrawals are made on the four regularly scheduled tax installment due dates.
  • The withdrawal amount will correspond with the installment amount on your tax bill.
  • Installment amounts on your Interim bill will not reflect any local improvement charges or drain maintenance charges. These charges will be reflected on the Final bill installments.
  • Any outstanding balances must be paid in full prior to enrolment in the plan.
  • If any municipal charges are added to your tax account for any reason, the payment plan will be suspended until those charges are paid in full including any applicable penalties. You must contact the Municipality to re-activate your payment plan.
  • Service charges and applicable penalties will apply to any payment not cleared by your bank.
