Paying Your Taxes

The Municipality of Leamington offers a variety of payment options to make it easier to pay your property taxes. Our popular Pre-Authorized Payment Plan offers a convenient way to pay your taxes without the hassle of cheques, postage or missing a due date. Please see the list below to choose which method is most convenient for you.

Penalty of 1.25% is charged on unpaid taxes the day after the due date and then every first of the month thereafter.  Please include penalty amounts with your installment payment to avoid arrears balances. Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve a taxpayer from the responsibility of payment by the due date or from the liability of penalty charge for late payment.

An NSF fee of $25.00 will be charged on payments returned from your financial institution for any reason in addition to applicable penalty.

Online through your financial institution, by telephone or in person at the branch
  • Register your property tax bill as an online bill with your financial institution and make payments electronically.
  • Payee listed as "Leamington Taxes" and your account number is your 19-digit roll number (take out the period).
  • Please visit or contact your financial institution with your tax bill.
