FAQs

 Key Features
  • Diverse Equipment: The functional training rig boasts a range of attachments to facilitate a wide array of exercises.
  • Inclusive Membership: Access to the functional training area is included in the cost of a membership, single visit fee, or punch pass. There are no additional charges for use.
  • Group Training Opportunities: To further enhance the fitness experience, the Recreation Centre has introduced group training sessions every Monday. Members can look forward to additional class offerings in the near future.
 Benefits
  • Full-body workouts: Functional training rigs facilitate full-body workouts by engaging multiple muscle groups in a single exercise. This is more reflective of the way our bodies naturally move in everyday life, promoting functional strength and coordination.
  • Adaptability: Users can customize their workouts based on their fitness levels, goals, and specific needs. The rig's modular design allows for easy adjustments and modifications, making it suitable for users of all fitness levels.
  • Functional movements: Exercises on a functional training rig often involve movements that replicate real-world activities, such as pushing, pulling, twisting, and lifting. This helps improve overall functional fitness, which is essential for performing daily tasks and preventing injuries.
  • Balance and stability: Many functional training exercises require users to engage their core muscles for stability. This enhances balance and proprioception, contributing to improved overall athletic performance and reducing the risk of injuries.
  • Cardiovascular benefits: Many functional exercises involve dynamic movements that elevate the heart rate, providing cardiovascular benefits in addition to strength training.
  • Functional rehabilitation: The versatility of functional training rigs makes them suitable for rehabilitation purposes. Individuals recovering from injuries can perform targeted exercises that mimic real-life movements to regain strength and mobility.
 Equipment
Equipped with a variety of attachments, including bars, ropes, and suspension systems, the functional training rig enables users to engage in a diverse range of exercises. From bodyweight workouts to resistance training and cardiovascular exercises, this space is tailored to accommodate various fitness preferences and goals.
