Food at Special Events
Food providers must ensure that food and beverage items are offered in a manner that is in compliance with the Ontario Food Premises Regulation 562 and the Health Protection and Promotion Act.
During the event, Public Health Inspectors will inspect food vendors to ensure safe food handling is being implemented and to prevent any health hazards.
Event Organizers and food vendors must submit the following application forms to the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit at least 30 days prior to the start of the special event:

It is recommended that as an Event Organizer, you request proper insurance coverage from each of your participating food vendors.
Barbecues & Cooking
Propane barbecues and personal barbecues are not permitted on municipal property. Permanent barbecues are available at designated areas for public use.
Open fires are not allowed on municipal property.
