The Municipality of Leamington maintains Fireworks By-law 600-05 respecting the sale and discharge of fireworks. The By-law prescribes the restrictions and regulations surrounding both low-hazard (family fireworks) and Display and Theatrical fireworks (event fireworks).
Flying lanterns, sky lanterns or wish lanterns are not permitted to be discharged in the Municipality.
Event Organizers are expected to be aware of the restrictions and regulations concerning the use of fireworks in the municipality. A Fireworks Application must be filled out and submitted along with the Special Event Application.
Businesses that want to sell fireworks at their store must obtain a permit by completing the Application to Sell Fireworks.
