The Municipality of Leamington, Environmental Services department is responsible for the delivery, maintenance and evaluation of the municipal water distribution system. Water Services ensures that safe, reliable water is provided to our community. Treated water for the Municipality of Leamington is provided by Union Water Supply System Inc. in Ruthven, ON.
About Water Services
What Services does Leamington Water offer? |
The Leamington Water Services department offers various services to customers including: leak detection assistance, water disconnects and reconnects, water meter reads, and municipal property locates. These services are provided at no charge, with the exception of disconnects and/or reconnects that are done for seasonal purposes. These types of disconnects/reconnects are completed for a fee of $50, if done during regular business hours. If you require a disconnect and/or reconnect for water service/plumbing repairs there is no charge. Please complete the disconnect/reconnect form if you require this service
In addition to these regular services, the Water Services department also offers emergency appointments for leaks from a burst line or pipe and for reports of no water to the property. It is very important that your contact information is up to date so that we can contact you if there is a leak on your property. Please fill out the change of information form to update any contact information. The Water Services department can be reached at 519-326-4454 from Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30AM until 4:00PM. After hours calls should be directed to the emergency number at 519-326-9212.

Lawn watering; restrictions are in effect from May to September annually. By-law 426-03 outlines the specific restrictions and additional tips can be found in the Union Water brochure.

Drinking Water Quality System |
The Municipality's commitment to providing safe drinking water to its customers is confirmed by our Drinking Water Quality Management System Policy and Commitment and Endorsement. The municipal distribution system is audited annually and a Certificate of Registration is issued for the conformance to the Drinking Water Quality Management System Standard and applicable Acts and Regulations.
