    Nemesis to Perform at Leamington’s Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series – August 9

    The Municipality of Leamington, in partnership with The Bank Theatre, is excited to announce the next performance in the Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series, featuring the high-energy sounds of Nemesis on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Leamington’s SUNSET® Amphitheatre in Seacliff Park.

    Taking the stage at 8:30 PM, Nemesis is a dynamic horn-driven cover band made up of talented musicians from both Michigan and southwestern Ontario.

    At the Leamington Council meeting held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, Council:

    • Approved a by-law to allow on-street parking for Peter Avenue between Bennie Avenue and Olive Drive.
    • Approved a by-law to add an all-way stop at the Pulford Avenue, Canadian Tire, and County Fair Mall access intersection.
  • Waterfront Market Plaza and Parking Lot Expansion

    The Municipality of Leamington is excited to announce the upcoming Waterfront Market Plaza and Parking Lot Expansion Project, an important initiative within the broader Waterfront Destination Master Plan.

    About the Project

    The Waterfront Market Plaza and Parking Lot Expansion Project, located at the foot of Erie Street South, will enhance the waterfront area with new amenities and improved infrastructure.

  • Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted

    Dr. Mehdi Aloosh, Medical Officer of Health for the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, has rescinded the Precautionary Boil Water Advisory issued on July 8, 2025, for waterline consumers serviced by the Union Water Supply System in the Municipality of Leamington.

  • Leamington Residents to Join EWSWA Green Bin Program in 2026

    The Municipality of Leamington is informing residents that while the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority’s (EWSWA) new Green Bin Program is currently being rolled out in Phase 1 communities (Essex, Lakeshore, LaSalle, Tecumseh, and Windsor), Leamington will be included in Phase 2 of the regional project. Green Bin delivery and collection in Leamington are scheduled to begin in the fall of 2026.

  • Precautionary Boil Water Advisory

    Dr. Mehdi Aloosh, Medical Officer of Health, Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, has issued a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for some customers serviced by the Union Water Supply System.

  • Council Matters – June 24, 2025

    At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Council:

    •  Held a Court of Revision under the Drainage Act and confirmed the Schedule of Assessment in the Engineer’s report for a new petition drain branching off the Sturgeon Creek Drain to be known as the Brunato Drain.
    •  Approved an amendment to the language of the Official Plan to permit Additional Residential Units and allow mixed-use developments in the residential designation.
