The Municipality of Leamington reminds rural residents that there is no longer a designated side of the road to place garbage and recycling bins or bags for collection.

Rural residents are encouraged to place their garbage and recycling at the end of their driveway on collection day.

Eligible Leamington residents are now able to take advantage of the Affordable Pass Program (APP) and purchase subsidized bus fares for LTGO On-Demand Transit. The APP subsidizes residents living in low-income households at a discounted rate of 50% before taxes.

At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, December 17, 2024, Council:

• Approved a pilot project that will allow restricted access to the municipal potable water system for irrigation purposes at a proposed greenhouse development located at 965 Highway 77.
