    Holiday Hours – Leamington Municipal Services 2025

    Please note the following municipal program and service level adjustments for the 2025 holiday season: 

    Leamington Municipal Building

    The Leamington Municipal Building will be closed on the following days:

    • Wednesday, December 24, 2025
    • Thursday, December 25, 2025
    • Friday, December 26, 2025
    • Wednesday, December 31, 2025
    • Thursday, January 1, 2026
    • Friday, January 2, 2026

    Leaf Collection Update

    The Municipality of Leamington continues to collect leaf piles throughout urban areas, and crews have been out nearly every weekday, except when required to respond to snow and winter maintenance operations.

    Please note that leaf collection trucks are also used as snow plows.

    Project Update: Queens, John, Albert, Baird, and Elliott Sewer Separation Project

    The Municipality of Leamington is advising residents and motorists that infrastructure improvements are nearing completion for the Queens Avenue, John Street, Albert Street, Baird Avenue, and Elliott Street Sewer Separation Project.

    Improvements and paving have been completed on all streets.

    Project Update: Seacliff Drive West Sanitary Sewer Extension and Roundabout Construction

    The Municipality of Leamington is advising residents and motorists that Seacliff Drive West remains closed while construction continues on the Seacliff Drive West Reconstruction and Roundabout Construction Project.

    Paving work is expected to take place next week, weather permitting.

    Leamington Adopts 2026 Municipal Budget

    The Municipality of Leamington has adopted its 2026 Operating and Capital Budget, which includes a 2.5 percent increase to both the general and sewer tax levies.

  • Council Matters – December 9, 2025

    At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Council:

    • Approved an amendment to Leamington’s Zoning By-law with regard to 918 Point Pelee Drive. The property currently has three cottages (918, 920, and 922 Point Pelee Drive), and the amendment splitthe property into three separate lots, each with its own title and tax roll number.

    Notice to Leamington Residents: Recycling Cart Exchange Program Now Available

    The Municipality of Leamington is advising residents of upcoming changes to the region’s recycling program being implemented by Circular Materials, the organization responsible for managing residential recycling collection in Windsor-Essex. While the Municipality of Leamington is not responsible for recycling collection, we are sharing this information to ensure residents are aware of program updates and the available cart exchange option.

  • Update to Mayor’s 2026 Budget Meetings

    Further to the previously issued notice regarding the Mayor’s 2026 Budget presentations scheduled for December 10, 11, and 12, 2025, please be advised of the following update:

    • All budget presentations were completed today, December 10, 2025. As a result, the Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2025, has been cancelled.
  • Council Considers – December 9, 2025

    The Results Are In: Announcing the Winners of the 2025 Mayor’s Holiday Card Design Contest

    The Municipality of Leamington is pleased to announce the winners of the 2025 Mayor’s Holiday Card Design Contest.

    Now in its second year, the contest invited Grade 4 and 5 students from local schools to submit original artwork for a chance to be featured on the cover of the Mayor’s Holiday Greeting Card.
