Updated Traffic Access for Seacliff Drive West Construction ProjectThe Municipality of Leamington is advising residents and motorists of updated traffic access related to the Seacliff Drive West Sanitary Sewer Extension and Roundabout Construction project.
Seacliff Drive West is closed to through traffic while construction continues.
New All-Way Stop Installed at Pulford Avenue IntersectionThe Municipality of Leamington has installed a new all-way stop at the intersection of Pulford Avenue, Canadian Tire, and County Fair Mall access.
The change was implemented in response to community concerns related to pedestrian safety, driver visibility, and the adequacy of existing traffic control measures in the area.

The Municipality of Leamington has retained the services of BT Engineering Inc. to complete a Schedule C Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) (2024) for improvements to Mersea Road 1 in Leamington, Ontario.
Notice of Temporary Road and Trail Closure - Sewer Repair and Restoration Work – MCR DriveThe Municipality of Leamington will be undertaking sewer repair and restoration work on MCR Drive between Askew Street and Talbot Street West.
Beginning Tuesday, October 21, 2025, MCR Drive will be temporarily closed between Askew Street and Talbot Street West.
Council Matters – October 14, 2025At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Council:
- Approved the issuance of Municipal Supported Resolutions (MSRs) for a number of project proposals to the Independent Electricity System Operator’s (IESO) Long-Term 2 procurement process. The IESO project aims to help meet Ontario’s projected electricity needs between 2029 and 2034.
Project Update: Margaret, Audrey, Jane, Claire & Sherk Street ProjectAs part of the Municipality of Leamington’s Sewer Separation and Road Reconstruction Program, work continues on Sherk Street and surrounding areas, including Margaret, Audrey, Jane, and Claire Streets.
Current Status – Sherk Street
- Sherk Street is open to traffic between Oak Street and Ellison Avenue.
Blue Recycling Carts Coming to LeamingtonLeamington residents will soon receive new blue recycling carts as part of the region’s transition to a single-stream recycling system, beginning January 1, 2026.
The new program, led by Circular Materials, introduces a single-stream recycling system.
