At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, April 14, 2026 Council:
The Municipality of Leamington advises residents and motorists that construction of the Seacliff Drive West roundabout is nearing completion. To finalize the remaining concrete work within the roundabout, Seacliff Drive West will be closed to through traffic between Sherk Street and Fraser Road for approximately four weeks, beginning May 4, 2026.
The Leamington Accessibility Advisory Committee is pleased to announce the first annual Accessibility Awards. This initiative is designed to recognize individuals, businesses, and local organizations that promote accessibility and celebrate those in the community who have contributed to a barrier-free Leamington.

Nominations for the Municipality of Leamington’s 2026 Municipal Election may be filed starting Friday, May 1, 2026.
Positions include Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Councillors as well as Trustee for the following school boards: Greater Essex County District School Board, Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire Viamonde and Conseil scolaire catholique Providence.
The Promenade between the Leamington Marina and the dock will be temporarily closed to through pedestrian traffic beginning Monday, April 13, 2026, for approximately four weeks to allow for construction of the Waterfront Market Plaza.
The Leamington Municipal Building will be closed on Friday, April 3, 2026, and Monday, April 6, 2026, in observance of the Good Friday and Easter Monday holidays. Residents can continue to report non-urgent municipal issues online at leamington.ca/ReportAnIssue.
The Municipality of Leamington Municipal Election will take place on October 26, 2026.

The Municipality of Leamington has retained BT Engineering Inc. to complete a Schedule C Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) (2024) for improvements to Mersea Road 1 in Leamington, Ontario to ensure the roadway has capacity for future planned population growth.
