A: The Province of Ontario mandated the collection of food and organic waste through curbside pick-up, public drop-off sites or community composting programs for urban settlement areas in municipalities of a certain population and/or population density. In our County, Amherstburg, LaSalle, Leamington and Tecumseh triggered these population and/or density thresholds.
